We brought the big red volunteerig bus to Aldenham Country Park on Sunday 1st June. It was hired by Volunteer Centres Hertfordshire and loaded with volunteering information, ideas, quizzes and prizes. The day was very successful, spent giving out lots of leaflets and even more balloons. The Mayor of Hertsmere Borough Council, Sandra Parnell visited and said what we were doing was wonderful.
Volunteers Week is a yearly event which takes place from 1st to 7th June. During the Week events are held across the country to recognise, reward and recruit volunteers. It plays a huge part in raising the profile of England’s 22 million volunteers while encouraging others to get involved.
